Local Samsung ML-1430

Hello pluglist,

  I just bought a Samsung ML-1430 laser printer. It comes with an
  install CD for RedHat Linux, and gives me the option of using LPRng
  or CUPS (I have LPRng installed). Even though I choose LPRng, it
  still tries to use CUPS, and the install fails. When I try using
  printtool, I notice that the printer is not supported (I have
  already installed the latest Ghostscript and Gimp-print). After all
  the trouble I had printing to a Windows printer, I expected a local
  printer to be a breeze. Ha! Any ideas? Thanks.
