Ah, but l00x0r at it from a publicity standpoint.

Q: What is the most effective low-cost way to get your company name
talked about and to be pasted EVERYWHERE?

A: Say / do something controversial! SCO doesn't care about Linux code,
or who owns who. They care about branding themselves a certain way, as
being "Experts" or begin "Better-than". Its all about branding branding
branding. Make it appear to the media as if you have been duped by the
Linux community, or your copyrights are being infringed upon or violated
in some way and you have the latest headlines.
So I suggest ...

Fight fire with fire.

Bring attention to Linux as a fighting force. someone needs to register
scobusters.com or something, and put up the "nutshell" arguments.

We should have a member of the local news media at one of the next PLUG
meetings -- Or hold an "early" plug meeting, and make statements on the
air, and direct people to scobusters.com. Call channel 2, 13, 5 .. etc.
They are ALWAYS looking for news. I am sure someone at SCO will take
notice, and who knows what kind of national attention it might bring. I
have done some press releases in the past, and its a very inexpensive
and effective attention getting medium.

Time to bust out the shaving cream, and don my Sunday best.
