Begun, this war has..

Not to start a flame, but how has Debian done good? Just curious, since
I have paid more attention to Red Hat.
With a positive operating cash flow for 3 consecutive quarters, Red Hat
is inching very much closer to black (no pun intended), and expects to
achieve a profit within the next quarter. They just hit their 52-week
high yesterday in their stock, hitting above $7.30/share. They not only
offer services, but have made some pretty good partnership deals with
companies such as IBM, Oracle, and just recently Fujitsu, among many
others. They have a large dominance in the corporate workplace among
Linux users, a lot due to their marketing efforts pushing towards their
enterprise servers, giving some nice competition to Windows 2000
networks. They are cash rich. They hold a $292 million cash balance at
the moment.
I would say the reason SCO isn't doing well in the Linux market is
partly because of it's unpopularity, especially at the moment, among
other Linux users, but also in part by the dominance in the market of
much bigger Linux distributors.
