To be honest, I was assuming LPRng was in use, but I don't know. I
used the Printing GUI tool in Gnome to set up the printer, and I don't
see an option to say whether CUPS or LPRng is being used (or does the
GUI use one or the other by default?). I know that both printing
services are installed. How do I go about using cups? Thanks.
