Some of the spam blocking outfits  actually fingerprint the body of spam
so that it is easily blocked by  other members that use it. i.e. instead
of publishing a list of IP addresses  that are bad, they list a bunch of
MD5 sums of messages that you can check to see whether or not you should
block it. The chances  of a legitimate email hashing the  same as a spam
is  very minimal.  My guess  is  that spammers  do this  to thwart  such
blocking attempts.
