Linux + fax + email attachments?

go look at http://www.savetz.com/fax/ for alot of comparisons and examples.
I think you will be happy.
My recommendation i would stop doing this on your own machine. It is
difficult to keep a backup and with the telco industry so cheap why not make
this really simple.
There are entire companies designed around being a fax machine and being the
backup.
